Support
We offer support in every field: feasibility studies and 3D visualisations, press blank calculations, designing and developing a rolling die, through to testing and optimising prototypes on our own rolling machines. You can always rely on us. We will supply you with an optimally functioning tool. For larger requirements, we will be very happy to keep a stock of tools ready for you. We offer special materials and surface treatments to improve tool and service life. We can also provide on-site support if your rolling processes require optimisation. We work with you to solve the most difficult tasks. Since RSK was established in 1992, our 35 employees have produced over 250,000 pairs of rolling dies, consistently expanding our expertise.
Production Milling & Grinding
We use the latest technologies at our manufacturing facility. Once our rolling dies have been designed on CAD systems, our CAM programs use the data to create control commands for our CNC machines – this ensures that fabrication is to a very high level of quality. We are able to process all standard materials, as well as special materials specified by our customers, on our DMG Deckel Maho machining centres, each with up to five axes. And having the CNC machines means that we can also finish-mill rolling dies after they have been hardened.
We manufacture our rolling dies by milling and grinding them. For example, using ground tools you can roll transmission threads for adjusting spindles, profiles and formed parts. We also supply ground, exchangeable inserts and blades for combined dies.
The entire world talks about sustainable production – we implement it. When a die is worn, there‘s no need to throw it out. We will simply regrind it. So that you can continue to produce as accurately and reliably as before.
Quality
Every day our tools are put to extremely hard use at many manufacturing facilities. So we place enormous value on excellent quality. With many years of experience behind them, our specialist workers don’t just make rolling dies –they live for the whole concept of quality. We train our apprentices ourselves so they benefit from our skill and expertise.
We also work with the most up-to-date machine technology. CAD/CAM are not simply buzzwords for us – we use them every day. Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015. Every single employee is able to work independently. And it goes without saying that the team at RSK values openness and mutual respect. Every rolling die is given a sequential and permanent production number which can be used for traceability purposes. All the production and inspection data is stored with the rolling die number. We can retrieve the information documenting how a particular tool was produced – even several years later.
Stocks
We maintain a stock of rolling dies for standard screws. If required we can also arrange call-off stock to be available either from our own premises, or from a consignment warehouse. That way, customers can be sure that rolling dies will always be available.
